Hot Tub Covers Newmarket

Newmarket is a town with a population of 80,000 and is located on the Holland River in the York Region. Most residents travel 25 kilometers south to the city of Toronto for employment; however, the town of Newmarket has several public employers such as Southlake Regional Health Centre, Regional Municipality of York and the RCMP Headquarters. Some privately owned enterprises providing employment are Dortec Industries, Global, Orchid International and Cintas. This beautiful city is known for its abundance of historical sites and is currently finalizing a Heritage Conservation District on downtown Main Street South. Many more sites to visit are the Charles Hargrave Simpson Building, Old Town Hall and the Robert Simpson Store, which happens to be the location of the very first Simpsons store in all of Canada!

History is certainly a very large part of Newmarket’s make-up. Founded at the turn of the 19th century, this city was given its name when a market was set up in the downtown area back in the early 1800’s. Newmarket actually became incorporated in 1857 and grew substantially as factories were built, including a sash and door establishment which manufactured Canada’s first lead pencils! Toronto and York Radial Railway first came to Newmarket in 1899 and is now part of the Canadian National Railway system leaving the city north toward Bradford and heads south to Toronto.

Newmarket is also well known for its parks and recreation. Fairy Lake Conservation Area, possibly better known as Fairy Lake Park is an absolutely gorgeous park with a dam and waterfall, trails, playgrounds and many more fun activities! Newmarket offers an array of nature trails and parks (over 70!) for you to explore with the family. If you prefer to be indoors, Newmarket is home to Upper Canada Mall which features over 250 stores. Other options to investigate are the numerous art galleries, museums, music events, festivals such as the Annual Schomberg Agricultural Fair and shops and dining in historic downtown Newmarket. Shopping is an adventure in itself with countless farmers’ markets, such as the Markham’s Farmers’ Market, malls and downtown specialty stores. After a busy day, enjoy an evening at one of Newmarket’s fine dining restaurants and then relax at your favourite bed and breakfast by opening up the hot tub cover for a nice warm soak!
