Grand Prairie, Alberta is located just northwest of Edmonton (the capital city). The city became chartered in 1958. It would become a save haven for swans. If you're in the mode for a hike you can take a stroll along the 6.5 km of trails. Enjoy the 96 camping sites all around the area and even grab a snack at the confection stand. Enjoy rock climbing at the Grand Prairie Regional College Climbing Wall. Learn about local history at the Heritage Discovery Centre, a history museum.

Make sure to take in some shops while in Grand Prairie. You can snag a souvenir to take home with you to commemorate your trip. Family friendly restaurants like Ramona Pizza are great when you're on a family vacation. They offer various types of pizza and toppings. You can dine in or take your pizza to go because they offer take out service as well.
