The 700 acres of parkland includes 46 parks. Visitors can travel using the trail system to get from one park to another. Many of the parks offer sports facilities. This includes basketball, soccer, tennis and baseball. Others offer places for those who enjoy BMX and skateboarding. Those with children will love the facilities with playgrounds, splash pads and shade structures. The Aurora War Memorial Peace Park has a historical monument for visitors to take in. Pet owners will adore a trip to the Canine Commons. It's a leash free dog park. Here pets can roam free and have fun without the restraints of a leash. Town Hall is a smaller park but it contains the Aurora Farmers' Market. Here you can pick up fresh local produce and fruit, grown healthy and naturally. Aurora offers public swimming facilities. There are pools that can be rented for your personal enjoyment. Young children will love to have a pool party here!
There are plenty of activities to enjoy in Aurora. You can enjoy a game of golf at the Beacon Hall Golf Course on Beacon Hall Drive. You can enjoy 18 holes on this course. You could also head over to Yonge Street to enjoy a game at the Aurora Highlands Golf Course. Take in a bit of Aurora's history at the Aurora Museum on Church Street. It features pieces from the 19th and 20th century.
The Four Seasons Chinese Food on Yonge offers great food. Get American food at Graystones Restaurant, grab a burger at TC's Burgers (though they serve other dishes too like chicken and salads). If you are in the mood for fish and chips head to Stanley's Fish and Chips or if you're hankering for Thai, go to Orchid Thai Cuisine.
