The city of Abbotsford is located in the Canadian Province of British Columbia and prides itself on being called the City in the Country, which means that the tourist who chooses Abbotsford as a holiday destination gets the best of both worlds. It is also known as the Raspberry Capital of Canada.

BMX fans can visit the outdoor track at the Exhibition Park or the city’s wonderful indoor facility. The Tuskast Icelandic Horse Farm offers horse riding tours of between one and four hours, while the Matsqui Stables also have horses for hire and offer tours throughout the year. Skiing and snowboarding are great winter activites.
There is a helicopter company in the city which provides aerial tours of Abbotsford and the surrounding area; while there are two companies which offer scenic flights over the region. The adventurous tourist will relish the chance to go skydiving or to take lessons in skydiving.
The historic centre of Abbotsford will provide hours of enjoyment for those who choose to explore its lovely buildings and have a meal at one of the great restaurants which serve a cosmopolitan range of cuisines from far and wide.
Those tourists with a penchant for history and culture should not miss the Sikh Museum, which showcases the beliefs, heritage and traditions of this religion; the unique Clayburn Village with its historic buildings dating back to the 1920s which is a Heritage Conservation Area; as well as The Reach and the Kariton Gallery for local art works.
